March First Friday – Washington Wine Month!
March 1 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm$5
March is Taste Washington Wine Month! And we’re kicking off the March First Friday tasting with a sextet of wines that show off the breadth and depth of what the Evergreen State can offer.
The whites highlight two very different blends using Pinot Gris and an Albarino from the Ancient Lakes AVA. Rising wine star Victor Palencia, who makes this distinctive Albarino, will be at Grand Vin at the end of the month for a tasting of more of his great wines.
The reds range from a GSM blend to a classic Walla Walla Cabernet to a take on Petite Syrah by Bill Jenkins from Prosser Vineyards and Winery. Bill has promised us that he’ll be on hand to chat about his wine, his advocacy for the wine industry, and why he spells it “Syrah” rather than “Sirah.”
It’s bound to be a great First Friday!
And be sure to mark Friday, March 15 on your calendars for a rare opportunity to sample some of Washington’s most exclusive and celebrated wines, to be announced soon.
We’ll bring Taste Washington Wine Month to a close on March 29, when Grand Vin hosts Victor Palencia from Palencia and Monarca wineries. Victor – and his beautifully crafted wines – have been getting a lot of buzz. He was feted recently in Wine Enthusiast magazine as one of the Five Winemakers Changing Washington Wine. We’re very excited to have him visit us in Olympia!
And to top it off, throughout the month of March Washington wines will be 10% off!* Browse our full list of WA wines here.
Tasting hours are 5-7pm and there is a $5 entry fee. We look forward to seeing you!
